Judging from the comments from atheists on this thread, calling God inept, incompetent, oblivious or just uncaring is merely the pot calling the kettle black. No sane person expects God to interfere with copying scripture. The evidence is that by and large, extreme care was taken in the copying but human mistakes are never completely absent. Saying Scripture is inspired is not saying God dictated the Bible word for word - that claim is made of the Koran but the secular world calls criticism of the Koran as Islamophobia. That is something I find very strange.
